Sales Tips from an Industry Specialist...
Are you looking to boost your sales career? Are you wanting for your company to do more with its product, to experience growth beyond the ordinary? Are you a fresh start in the industry looking for wisdom from a professional who has lived the trial and has plenty to say about it? Your search ends here...
Daniel Milstein is the successful, savvy leader of Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group. As the company's CEO, he manages 26 offices across the country. More than 400 employees and their families rely upon Milstein's ability to effectively manage the company in which they have invested so much. How far from disappointment can one go?
The ABC of Sales: Lessons from a Superstar is a handbook for achievement in the sales industry written by an expert who knows what it takes. Milstein's uncanny business sense and professionalism have taken him straight to the top, but his strong sense of conviction, personal value system, and love for what he does all serve to keep him there. Not everyone can be ranked #1 Loan Officer in the country for two consecutive years and during those years have his company experience a 712% growth volume. And this is only the beginning. In fact, Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group has been ranked as one of the top 500 fasting growing companies in America by Inc. Magazine for the past three years. What enables Milstein to achieve such great professional successes?
Well, perhaps it has something to do with coming from humble beginnings. Milstein, a native of Ukraine, was certainly not wealthy at the start. Determination, drive, and passion―all elements of the equation for success, and Dan Milstein embodies this combination quite well. He knows the value of his product, but, more importantly, he knows the value of his people.

Confessions from a Google Employee...
The Confessions of Google Employee Number 59 is a more personal and intimate account of what happened as Google ascended to the top of the Search business. The book, entitled I'm Feeling Lucky by Douglas Edwards is entertaining, insightful and educational in ways I didn't expect.
There are a lot of books out now about Google that are a bit more analytical in nature and though there are bits of analysis discussions here and there throughout this book the author's voice and tale is more about his own experiences, feelings, etc. I was a little worried it would be geared toward techie-types and though I'm sure those people are geting out of it something different than I am as a lay-person the book entertained me thoughtout and I felt I learned a lot of little tips and tricks myself.
I personally met Doug Edwards and he came across as very down-to-earth and passionate about the things that are important to him. I love that he paints and has an artistic side. He is working on a political site that is vastly interesting to me - http://maplight.org/ . He came across as a man who knew when, where and how to take chances and I guess that's the real allure to the book for me. It isn't just what happened to make Google so successful, but more importantly, what was the insight to knowing Google was going to be successful that Mr. Edwards quit a well paying job to join a bunch of twenty-somethings in a venture no one thought would come to much at the time?
A Blending of the World's Eastern and Western Religions...
Imagine a world where all religions have the same basis, a common source...
In 1887, a Russian journalist named Nicholas Notovitch made the most remarkable discovery—a text that shows a fusion of seemingly disparate Western and Eastern religions. The find, which was made in a remote monastery nestled in the Himalayan Mountains, could alter religion and our understanding of divinity forever. But it never reached the public. The secret had been lost. Until now...
Grant Matthews, a scholar and religious specialist, is about to pursue the truth, no matter where it takes him. He journeys to the Himalayas, unaware of what dangers lie ahead. Matthews suspected that it would be an adventure, but who could have guessed that it would go this far. Presently, Matthews is being hunted by a group of religious zealots who are hellbent on keeping the ancient and enigmatic text from ever being brought to the western world. They will stop at nothing to maintain their own version of the truth, and if Matthews ever hopes to enlighten the world with his discovery, he has to survive their onslaught.
Join Matthews on the journey of a lifetime in the thrilling suspense novel The Breath of God, the recent release from Jeffrey Small. Small, an honored graduate of both Yale and Harvard Law School, is an award-winning speaker and writer who has expertise in the area of religious studies. The Breath of God, which is based on the historical account of a Russian journalist (mentioned above), deals extensively with religious subject matter. The novel is purpose-driven and fast-paced, full of action and substantial content. The writing is clear, and the characters are alive, especially Matthews, who is on a mission to bring to light a more cohesive truth.
If you are a fan of well-written suspense novels, especially those that involve religion in some way, then you should look for The Breath of God by Jeffrey Small, in bookstores everywhere. The Quest for Life Turns Disastrous...
Imagine a pure form of life...
This phenomenal and newly discovered species is comprised entirely of concentrated energy, yet its members retain all the signs of sentience. In fact, not only are they clearly smarter than us (human beings, that is), but they also possess the remarkable ability to increase the mental capacity of anyone in close proximity to them. A discovery of this caliber will tend to disturb our understanding of both the universe and ourselves, but some of the ways in which we might change are truly beneficial—if we look closely enough, we might even through this discovery begin to discern the qualities of the human soul. What would it mean to marvel at the miracle of life's source, to catch a glimpse of the potential within our very being? Of course, there is a chance that the impact of this seemingly fortuitous find will involve a great deal of suffering. It might also yield great devastation...or even genocide.
Watch as that thin line between genius and insanity blurs a little further in a race to save a magnificent species from total slaughter. The novel is Spectra by Joanne Elder, a “fast-paced” science fiction thriller that explores the ramifications of wanting too much from our interactions with another sentient species.
This new form of life is discovered by an exploratory mine group light years away from Earth. After the encounter, a group of scientists becomes hellbent on exploiting the ability of this unique species, and only two people stand in the way of the potential for its total annihilation. In Spectra, our boundaries are tested, and the quest for life turns into a disaster.
Joanne Elder, a native of Ontario, is no stranger to the field of science. As a professional engineer, she worked in the aeronautical industry for several years before turning to nuclear research. Now, Elder blends her passion for science with her love of great fiction. Action-packed, captivating, and relevant, Spectra should be on the reading list of any avid fan of science fiction. This is a science-oriented thriller that will not disappoint.
