Exciting Christian Fiction for the New Age
A US Army Chaplain and recent college graduate, Vincent is on his way to Vietnam to cater to the emotional and spiritual needs of soldiers in the 1st squad. There on the battleground, he will provide guidance and comfort through lessons pertaining to Christ and his second coming. He will console them in their time of need and strive to educate them before each meets his final hour. It is an honorable role to play in the context of this conflict, and Vincent has an uncanny knack for what he does. It is his gift..
Vincent is also on another mission, a personal search for the woman who has his heart. He knows that he must find his first love, Vanessa, a flawless and pure spirit who has fascinated him since he was only a boy. But reporting for duty in Vietnam to fulfill his first commission is both a real priority and a great honor. Then comes the dream...
The day before he turns 21, he loses himself in a dream involving a seemingly impossible journey―he begins to shift between two disparate points in time and location, Vietnam in 1967 and Jerusalem, 33 A.D. In the midst of this vision, he is forced to relive the deaths of his comrades in Vietnam, experiencing every excruciating moment of their agony as life spills from them onto the battlefield. And what does he witness while in Jerusalem? The three-year ministry of Christ himself. And now he might be trapped, unable to escape the pain of witnessing firsthand the crucifixion of the Christian savior. What does it all mean? Why is Vincent the one to bear this burden? The answer lies in his destiny...
Join Vincent as he slips between episodes of a terrible war and the course of Christ's work on Earth, all the while experiencing inspiration and growth from a trial that was meant for him. Vincent's powerful story can be discovered in A Dream Before Dying: The Initiation, a novel from Christian Minister (Non-denomination) Tony Scott Macauley. Macauley, a former US Ranger, has a strong passion for sharing the wisdom and teachings of God in an effort to inspire both followers and non-followers of Christ to live simply and think deeply. A Dream Before Dying stands as a testament to this aim. The novel is very much faith-oriented, but it also blends elements of typical Christian fiction with qualities more generally associated with science fiction or fantasy works. The result is a refreshing and imaginative blend that would prove ideal for readers of works with both a powerful, Christ-centered message and an adequate capacity to entertain and provoke.
A Dream Before Dying: The Initiation by Tony Scott Macauley is now available in bookstores across the country. You can also find out a little more about the title at the following address: http://www.adreambeforedying.com/.

Bleeding Boxes and Chills that Thrill Karen Rose Hits the Spot with You Belong To Me
I love a thriller novel that can still surprise me at the end.
His sister was brutally attacked and people just stood there and watched. Now he has lost everything except his murderous desire for revenge. Dr. Lucy Trask recognized the first body, then the second. Now she is a target, but she doesn’t know why. If she doesn’t figure it out soon she may become the next victim.
This book actually gave me chills. I love the characters and how the romance seems to flow naturally into the story. I didn’t realize how totally immersed I was into the lives of these characters until the end when I got a surprise. This is an intelligent and fast paced book with such a satisfying end I think I may just read it again!
If you’re looking for a thriller that you can’t predict, but that is well written and smart You Belong to Me by Karen Rose is my recommendation.
A Powerful Clairvoyant Comes to Terms with Her Power...and The Threat That It Entails
Cassandra Palmer has an unusual job description: she is Pythia, the world's leading clairvoyant. And her life has been anything but simple as of recently. You might expect for a woman whose recent accomplishment involved defeating a god to be deserving of some relief, a little time away from the pressures of such a demanding lifestyle. But this is far from the case. Now, Cassie is learning about her powers and her new role. He coronation ceremony is on the way, and preparations must be made for her transition to Pythia. We might also call her mildly distracted by the prospect of romantic ties with the mysterious Mircea, an undeniably alluring vampire master. Yes, this seems to be business as usual for Cassie, but her trial has just begun...
Someone is hellbent on keeping Cassie from becoming Pythia. Someone is determined to stop the coronation ceremony from ever happening, and the threat is very real. Cassie has to figure out how to fight an enemy who is not attacking her directly but instead aims to prevent her from ever existing at all by attacking Cassie's mother before she was even born. How do you fight an assault from the past? Fortunately, Cassandra Palmer has some very powerful allies. Find out how Cassie thwarts this mysterious and menacing force in Hunt the Moon: A Cassie Palmer Novel by Karen Chance.
Chance specializes in urban fantasy, and the Cassandra Palmer series is great evidence of her expertise in this genre. Hunt the Moon is the fifth installment in this series, one of the author's most popular, and Chance already has a fan-base yearning for more of her fiction. For readers already familiar with Chance's fantasy fiction, you are no doubt excited about the prospect of a new release in the series (or perhaps you have already finished the book today and you are now anxiously awaiting the sixth Cassie Palmer novel). Hunt the Moon is also an ideal pick for any lover of well-developed fantasy with romantic undertones.

A Private Detective for the New Age...
Claire DeWitt is said to be the best private detective out there, which is how she comes to find herself striving to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of Assistant District Attorney Vic Willing in post-Katrina New Orleans. Hired for the investigation by Willing's nephew, Leon, who has recently come into possession of his uncle's great fortune and now wants answers, DeWitt is far from your average private detective. She is impetuous, but inherently brilliant and naturally disposed to investigative work. She is a Sherlock Holmes for the modern age (and in female form, of course), and her idiosyncratic reliance upon instinct, her dreams, the I-Ching, and various herbal substances adds great dimension to this dynamic, well-crafted character. DeWitt is a storm in her own way, destructive and altogether fascinating to watch as she haphazardly wanders through a city known for both its wild night-life and its risks. But this is New Orleans 18 months after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and it is still a very sad picture. Struggle is around every corner, and much remains to be understood. For example, Claire's job is to find out where Willing was after Katrina struck. Since Willing was the only ADA who was not corrupt in the city, perhaps the chaos following the storm provided the perfect opportunity for someone to exact revenge. At least, that seems like a rational conclusion...
...This is only the beginning. Follow Claire through storm ravaged New Orleans as she works to solve the case of Vic Willing's disappearance in the novel Claire DeWitt and the City of the Dead, the latest release from novelist Sara Gran.
Gran, who has traveled extensively throughout the United States, takes inspiration from her experiences in different locations of interest. New Orleans is definitely one of those places. Like Claire, she is originally from Brooklyn, but she provides us with a clear and honest picture of New Orleans after the major storm. It is a depressing and captivating account, the perfect basis for this suspenseful and fascinating modern mystery.
If you really enjoy contemporary-style mystery fiction and suspense, then look for Claire DeWitt and the City of the Dead by Sara Gran. The novel will not disappoint. Also, for those readers who are fans of books set in New Orleans, this novel has been described by readers as a powerful and accurate account of post-Katrina New Orleans, and you should consider reading it worth your time.
